Mark Noble's red card - RECINDED
Just watched on Ted's highlights, shocking decision, an absolute stonewalled rescind IMHO

Studs on the ground, won the ball.... even in the mamby pamby modern era you'd call it a good tackle.

Kevin Friend admit or mistake...

Not a red.

Not a yellow.

Not even a foul.

As you say, studs down, got to the ball, whilst not having perfect balance due to being fouled himself.

If they don't drop this red, it will be a disgusting disgrace.

Their lad didn't deserve his second yellow, either. Stupid boy for getting the first though.

Re: Mark Noble's red card
I wonder if he has been judged because he challenged after the whistle...even so not a straight red although ironically if it's reduced to a yellow he will be banned anyways.

Another fucking disgrace by bung receivers.

Never a red.

We'll win the appeal on this

The best of this is a stonewall appeal win.

Fuck me what a night to be West Ham!

I think the second yellow for the Liverpool guy was right actually Lily.

It was no more than a split-second late, but it was late, he did collect Payet from behind, and it just looked bad.

Anyway, fuck 'em.

Noble's 100% not even a foul.

In front of The Kop, that's why he gave it, weak ref trying to even things up

You say from behind, but he was in front of Payet. It was Payet who spun and fell over Coutinho. I wouldn't have complained had he not received a card for that.

Re: Mark Noble's red card
Watching the Leeds v derby game this morning some guy went in like Adrian 2 weeks ago and caught a derby player in the face and open day him up.

No card.

Cards are far too easily banded around these days, yet you can still mouth off at the ref and get away with it.

Both sending off's were ridiculous. What has happened to refereeing standards this season?

Just seen it. Not even a foul. Got the ball, no studs.

Fuck me is that what football is these days?

Been saying this since last week. the refereeing standards are awful this season so far.
Have they been told to send more players off

Re: Mark Noble's red card
Bad bad referee today, all over the place neither sending off was right Noble should not have even been issued with a card.

Must be rescinded.

He rightly booked Lanzini for time wasting.

As for the the red cards, I was annoyed at the ref for not allowing play to continue after the Coutinho incident. It merited no more than a quick word once the ball had gone out of play.

If you look at the Noble incident, yes the initial tackle was fine, but he did bring his studs up at the end of the movement. That would be what the ref objected to. There was no intent, but I reckon Noble has as much chance on appeal as Adrian had with his.

I wouldn't be surprised if Friend's nickname amongst his peers is "Hallmark".

Re: Mark Noble's red card
Noble' studs were never really up though, his foot was angled in a way that he poked the ball away with the studs still showing downwards.

It was no red card, no yellow, not even a foul as he clearly won the ball. Should be rescinded quickly.

Re: Mark Noble's red card
They WERE up at the end of the movement, after he'd got the ball.
That's what I believe the referee acted on, what he will present as his reasoning, and why I think an appeal will be unsuccessful.

My sobriety can be a curse at times like these.
